Directions:
From Downtown Houston, take I-10 east. Exit Uvalde and turn left (north) at the first light (Uvalde/Market St). Go north on Uvalde for approximately 1 mile, then turn left (west) on Louisville St. The park is located at the intersection of Louisville St and Beresford St.
Parking:
One free parking lot is located at Greenwood Park. Parking is limited. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
Registration Area:
Registration tables will be located at the covered basketball pavilion at Greenwood Park. Everyone must sign a liability release. Minors must have a form signed by their parent/guardian.
Area Being Cleaned:
Volunteers will be shuttled to various clean-up zones located along the banks of Greens Bayou and Greens Bayou Tributaries.
Description of Cleanup:
Gloves and trash bags will be handed out during registration. Volunteers will be assigned a work zone and will be shuttled between headquarters (at Greenwood Park) and various work zones
Schedule for Day:
8:30 a.m. - Registration at Headquarters (Greenwood Park)
9:00 a.m. - Bus Loading / Clean-up Begins
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Volunteers return to Headquarters for lunch, door prizes, music, exhibits
Special Information:
Large groups are encouraged to pre-register by filling out theregistration/liabilityform and bringing the completed forms to the event. We recommend that you bring the following items: sunscreen, hats, insect repellent, rubber boots, raingear
