Directions:
From downtown Houston, take 45 North. Take the Patton St. exit and turn right on Patton St. (east). Turn right at the first light, Fulton. Go down Fulton about 1/4 mile. Moody Park will be on your right, 3725 Fulton.
Parking:
There are 3 parking lots in the Park
Registration Area:
Registration & Check-in: Registration tables will be located at the covered basketball pavilion. Everyone must sign a liability release form. Minors must have a form signed by their parent/guardian. School or scout groups should get liability release forms in advance by calling 713-697-0648. You will be assigned a work zone, receive gloves, trash bags; a ticket for lunch and door prizes.
Area Being Cleaned:
There will be several work zones along the banks of Little White Oak Bayou. NO CHILDREN should go into the water. Small children are invited to pick up trash in the interior areas of the park.
Description of Cleanup:
Volunteers are responsible to bring all trash bags back to the collection area.
Return to the registration area by 11:30. Do not pick up medical waste, 55-gallon drums or hazardous materials. Tell the work zone captain the location and the proper authority will be called for their collection. Tires should not be put in the dumpster. Leave them piled near the dumpster.
Schedule for Day:
8:30-9 am registration
For those with groups of ten or more, please download registration form and complete prior to arrival. This will expedite the registration process.
9-11:30 am Clean-Up Little White Oak Bayou
11:45am-1:30pm
fter the clean-up, everyone is invited to enjoy a free lunch, entertainment, door prizes, and fun environmental activities.
Special Information:
Large groups are encouraged to pre-register by filling out the registration/liability form and bringing the completed forms to the event. We recommend that you bring the following items: sunscreen, hats, insect repellent, rubber boots, raingear
