Directions:
Glenbrook Park is located at 8102 North Bayou Drive on the south side of Sims Bayou and east of I-45. From I-45, take the Howard/Bellfort exit and travel northeast on Howard. Go past the stoplight on Arizona Street and turn left at Radcliffe, which is the next street. Radcliffe ends at North Bayou Drive almost in front of Glenbrook Park. There is a large parking lot in front of the pool house at Glenbrook Park. Glenbrook Park is adjacent to the Glenbrook Valley Golf Course.
Parking:
There is a large parking lot in front of the pool house at Glenbrook Park.
Registration Area:
Registration is at 8:15 AM at Glenbrook Park. This is also the launch site for all canoes.
Area Being Cleaned:
We will again be cleaning Sims Bayou by land and by water. We will tackle the Sims Woods area next to Bellfort and the bayou banks surrounding Reveille Park and Glenwood Park (shuttles will circulate between the three sites).
Description of Cleanup:
This is a land and water-based cleanup.

Cleanup
9:00 am - 11:30 am
Lunch
11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Additional Information:
If you would like to do land-based cleaning in the Sims Woods area, you can PRE-REGISTER and go directly to your work site at 8:15 AM instead of first going to the central registration site. Volunteers will end work in time to arrive at Glenbrook Park for lunch at 12:30 PM. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for groups of 6 or more. LIABILITY RELEASE FORMS must be signed by all participants. Minors must have a form signed by a parent or guardian. Volunteers can get forms in advance by calling (281) 332-3381 ext. 207 or by sending an e-mail to vmintzer@galvbay.org. Groups of 6 or more are strongly encouraged to fill out their forms in advance!
