General Information
Volunteering
for the Annual Trash Bash® can be a rewarding and fun experience for all involved,
and should not be a strenuous or hazardous work experience. However, there are
safety rules and guidelines that everyone should follow to make the day enjoyable,
safe and worthwhile to all involved. Local
site coordinators and leaders may establish additional guidelines for their particular
site, as each site has unique opportunities that may not be covered by general
guidelines. Site coordinators are responsible for their site and shall have the
final say on all issues at their site. The
general guidelines shall pertain to the overall event and shall be followed by
all participating volunteers.
Registration Form
All
volunteers and persons working at a particular site as part of the Annual Trash
Bash, on the designated date, must fill out a registration form.
Weather
The
Trash Bash event will be held rain or shine. Due to the widespread locations of
each site for the Trash Bash, one site may be experiencing weather problems while
another is not. If there is a question pertaining to weather issues, please call

What
NOT to Wear?
Do not wear clothing or footwear inappropriate to the setting.
Volunteers should wear clothing appropriate to working outdoors. Please wear clothing
appropriate to the area and weather where you are working; gloves, boots, hats/caps,
long pants, etc. Sturdy, closed toed shoes shall be worn in all areas. Do not
wear sandals or flip-flops. Your clothes will probably get wet or dirty. Bring
additional clothing as appropriate. Group leaders should make sure that everyone
in their group has the appropriate footwear.
Valuables
Trash
Bash or its site coordinators are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Make
sure your belongings and valuables are secure or simply leave them at home.
