Sponsor FAQs
Can I still be a sponsor if the sponsorship deadline has passed?
Yes. You can submit a sponsorship form to support Trash Bash at anytime before that year's event. However, due to the lead time needed to print t-shirts, posters, and other materials, you may not be included on printed/physical materials if you miss the sponsorship deadline. Your organization can still be added to that year's sponsorship webpage up until the event. The sponsorship webpage will remain up until the next year's sponsorship deadline.
Can our organization bring a volunteer group to Trash Bash?
Yes, we would love to have your organization bring volunteers to one of our Trash Bash cleanup sites. All sponsorship groups are requested to reach out to their preferred site coordinators as soon as possible, and no later than the end of February, to make them aware of your interest and provide an estimate of group size. Site coordinators will try to reserve spots for interested sponsor groups up to that point, but as many sites fill up quickly we cannot guarantee spaces for groups if sites have not been notified by that point.
Does our volunteer group need to register to attend a Trash Bash cleanup site?
Yes. To help maintain site capacity all participants (individuals and groups) are asked to register for the cleanup site they will attend. Registration typically opens in January. You can have your volunteers register individually, or you can serve as a point of contact and just register the correct number of adults and minors who will be attending.
Can our organization have a booth or table at a Trash Bash cleanup site?
Yes, Silver, Gold, and Platinum level sponsors can have table space at their chosen cleanup location. To help site coordinators prepare, we ask that you contact the site coordinator of your chosen site no later than March 1 to inform them of you interest in a table. As the event is a litter cleanup, we also encourage tables to limit the number of flyers or giveaways that could easily become litter.
Partner level sponsors or other organizations can request table space as well, but will need to be approved. A focus on education or environmental impacts is preferred.
How do I pick a Trash Bash cleanup site for our organization?
You can find the list of Trash Bash locations on our Sites page, and each location will include a Site Information Packet you can review. The cleanup sites for the coming year are usually finalized in November.
